Hans-Hinrich Koch ( * 1970 in Göttingen) is a German producer. == Life == Hans-Hinrich Koch, born in 1970, initially studied law in Göttingen, Wien and Freiburg. After completing law school, he began studying Filmproducing at the Filmacademy Ludwigsburg. With scholarships from GWFF and VFF, he continued his film studies in Los Angeles. After graduating in 2002 he founded the production company av independents GmbH, continuing to be the managing director until 2010. Since 2010 Hans-Hinrich Koch is producer at ndF: neue deutsche Filmgesellschaft mbH, one of Germanys leading Production-Companies. Hans-Hinrich Koch made his fictional film debut in 2004 with “Tsunami”, one of the most successful event movies by the German Broadcaster ProSiebenSat.1. Written and produced by him, the Desaster-Movie was distributed by Jan Mojto’s BETA FILM and became one of the most successful German TV exports worldwide. Hans-Hinrich Koch’s productions range crime- and familyseries (“Morden im Norden”, “Eisbär, Affe & Co.”) to award-winning fiction films like “Vom Atmen unter Wasser” (with Andrea Sawatzki), the Tchaikovsky BioPic “Dem kühlen Morgen entgegen” (with Armin Müller-Stahl) and the historical Drama “Die Auserwählten" / “The Chosen Ones” (with Ulrich Tukur and Julia Jentsch). He has also produced a wide range of documentaries for the ARD documentaryseries “Junger Dokumentarfilm” (incl. “Rey Negro, “Das Paradies hinter dem Zaun”, “Schwere Geburt” and “Kauf mich!”). Right now he produces the Thriller-Drama “Your Children Are Mine” (with Matthias Brandt and Manfred Zapatka). As an author, Koch has written seriesconcepts and scripts, in addition to publishing various media-specific articles (for Adolf-Grimme-Institut, MFG-Filmfund or as an expert on the committee of the regional film organisation for Baden-Württemberg).
